Mobile Reproductive Health

The UAMS Institute for Community Health Innovation is deploying mobile health units to provide prenatal care and reproductive health services to women across Arkansas.

Our Mobile Health Units are equipped to provide women with essential health services and education regarding reproductive health and are staffed by trained community health workers, nurses and medical providers who can assist women in getting the care that’s right for them.

Services included:

  • Long-acting reversible contraceptive (LARC) insertion & removal
  • IUDs
  • Implants
  • Depo-Provera shot
  • Prescriptions for birth control pills, patches, and rings
  • Emergency contraception
  • Women’s annual exams
  • Pap smears & cervical cancer screening
  • Testing for sexually transmitted infections
  • Planning for healthy pregnancy

Services are currently available in Carroll, Madison, and Phillips counties.
