What is a Community Health Worker?
Community health workers are trusted members of their community who help people connect to and access health and social services. They are neighbors, friends, relatives, and staples of their community. They are also advocates, educators, counselors, and supporters of those who need help navigating the health care system.
One word: Superhero.
Community health workers are a core part of a health care team dedicated to achieving equitable health.
